Brenda J. Young, DDS
Dr. Brenda Young has been practicing dentistry in Northern Virginia for almost 30 years. She has been an active member of the Northern Virginia Dental Society, serving as its president from 2011-2012. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and a delegate for the ADA. She also has a fellowship in the Virginia Dental Association, the American College of Dentists, and the International College of Dentists.
Dr. Young received a Presidential citation from the Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Community Service Award from the Virginia Dental Association. Additionally, she is honored to be selected as a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an international honorary dental service organization. Dr. Young participates in the Mission of Mercy program and volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic, where she started a Give Kids a Smile Program over 12 years ago.
Today, Dr. Young is the chair of the Virginia Dental Association Science and Talent Award Program. She’s also been elected to serve on the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards for the American Dental Association. In addition, she is serving on the Woman for Madison Executive Advisory Council.
Dr. Young lives with her husband and son in Fairfax City. Her son, Brian, is currently attending James Madison University. Her husband Jim has become a beekeeper in Fairfax City. They enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending time with friends.
